2024 Webinar
The Philippine Society for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (PSCAP), conducted a webinar titled “Emerging Models of School Mental Health” on November 21, 2024.
The session featured Dr. Christina M. Cruz, Assistant Professor of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Associate Director of Global Mental Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine. Dr. Cruz highlighted innovative, evidence-based models of school mental health, with a special focus on the Tealeaf (Teacher-Led Mental Health Care for the Youth) Program—a scalable, task-sharing approach that empowers schools to identify and address mental health needs among children and adolescents, reinforcing their vital role in promoting youth mental well-being.
The webinar was organized in collaboration with the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine, Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry of the University of the Philippines – Philippine General Hospital (UP-PGH) and Otsuka (Philippines) Pharmaceutical.
