PSCAP envisions being the lead organization in taking care of the mental health of Filipino children with the highest standards of competent and ethical practice.

Mission

To promote and maintain a high standard and ethical practice of child and adolescent psychiatry.

To define the scope of child and adolescent psychiatry and its relationship with various fields of medicine and other related sciences.

To establish, evaluate, standardize, and accredit the post-residency fellowship training programs in child and adolescent psychiatry.

To help develop and promote the advancement of child and adolescent psychiatrists through continuing education and interchange of ideas, knowledge and experience among members and those of other disciplines.

To take leadership on child advocacy in psychosocial issues relating to children and adolescents and their families including the protection of children’s rights.

To initiate and implement programs for the promotion of mental health among children and adolescents and their families.

To undertake research activities and publications in child and adolescent psychiatry.
