Proposed Senate Resolution No. 357 on Roblox and other online gaming platforms

The Philippine Psychiatric Association (PPA) and the Philippine Society for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (PSCAP) were represented in today’s (July 1, 2026) Senate hearing conducted by the Committee on Women, Children, Family Relations and Gender Equality.

The hearing discussed Proposed Senate Resolution No. 357 on Roblox and other online gaming platforms, particularly age verification protocols, child safety standards, online sexual abuse and exploitation of children, grooming, violent radicalization, and other emerging digital threats. It also included the Tacloban City shooting incident involving minors.
