The Philippine Society for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (PSCAP) expresses its profound concern and sadness over the recent incidents pf school violence involving minors. Our thoughts go out to the students, families, teachers, and communities who are grieving, frightened, or in pain during this very difficult time.

The Philippine Society for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry gathered in remembrance and thanksgiving for the life and contributions of Dr. Ma. Cynthia R. Leynes, whose dedication to child and adolescent mental health touched the lives of patients, families, students, and colleagues alike. The memorial service became a meaningful space for reflection, honoring her legacy of compassion, mentorship, and service to the field of psychiatry and to the generations she helped inspire.
